House of Bishops Committee 10 - Prayer Book, Liturgy and Music presents its Report #09 on Resolution A113 (Affirm Flexibility of Idiom for Authorized Liturgies) and moves:
Adopt Substitute
Resolved, the House of Deputies concurring,
That the General Convention direct the Standing Commission on Liturgy and Music to prepare a contemporary-language version of Rite I prayers not currently available in the contemporary idiom and report to the 82nd General Convention.
That Bishops be encouraged to permit Rite I liturgies to be adapted to the contemporary idiom.
