Resolved, That the House of Deputies of the 81st General Convention give thanks for the life and ministry of the Very Rev. George L.W. Werner, 31st President of the House of Deputies, who died on February 6, 2023; and be it further 

Resolved, That we remember and give thanks to God for his many decades of faithful service to The Episcopal Church, including President and Vice President of the House of Deputies, an eight-time deputy from the Diocese of Pittsburgh; and be it further 

Resolved, That we especially express gratitude for his love and dedication to the Episcopal Church as Dean of Trinity Cathedral Pittsburgh and trustee of the Church Pension Fund; and be it further 

Resolved, That we extend our condolences to his family, as we commend our brother George to Christ's never-failing care and love, and into the glorious company of the saints in heaven.
