Resolved, the House of Bishops concurring,
That the 81st General Convention recognizes the need for access to the catechism in the Book of Common Prayer in languages beyond English, Spanish, French, and Haitian Kreyol and directs the Task Force on Translation and Interpretation Manager of Language Services, pursuant to Canon II.3.5 to facilitate the professional translation of An Outline of the Faith, commonly called the Catechism to Arabic, Dinka, Dutch, Georgian, German, Hmong, Italian, Karen, Korean, Lakota, Mandarin, Navajo, and Russian and Urdu; and be it further
Resolved, that each translation be authorized by the Custodian of the Book of Common Prayer pursuant to Canon II.3.5; and be it further
Resolved, that said translations be made available digitally and free of copyright restriction; and be it further
Resolved, that the sum of $50,000 $60,000 be appropriated for the completion of these translations and their distribution.
