Resolved, the House of Bishops concurring,

That the 81st General Convention direct the Standing Commission on Structure, Governance, Constitution, and Canons to study, and report to the 82nd General Convention, on:

1)  a structure for nominations for President and Vice President of the House of Deputies; 

2)  a process that includes determination of qualifications;

3)  a process for recruitment of qualified deputies for nomination to each office; and 

4)  changes to the Canons and/or Rules of Order of the House of Deputies that would be needed to implement any recommendations.

That the 81st General Convention direct the Standing Commission on Structure, Governance, Constitution, and Canons to study, and report to the 82nd General Convention, on develop:

1)  a structure for nominations for President and Vice President of the House of Deputies ;

2)  with a process that includes determination of qualifications ; ,

3)  a process for and recruitment of qualified deputies for nomination to each office; and be it further

4)  changes to the Canons and/or Rules of Order of the House of Deputies that would be needed to implement any recommendations

Resolved, That the Standing Commission on Structure, Governance, Constitution, and Canons prepare and propose to the 82nd General Convention changes to the Canons and/ or Rules of Order to implement this structure for nominations for President and Vice President of the House of Deputies.
