Resolved, That the House of Bishops, meeting at this 81st General Convention of The Episcopal Church in Louisville, Kentucky, sends our greetings and the assurance of our prayers to the Most Reverend and Right Honourable Justin Welby GCVO DD, Archbishop of Canterbury, and to Mrs Welby, in deep gratitude for their life of devotion and ministry to our worldwide Anglican Communion; 

and further extends our congratulations to him on being made a Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order by His Majesty the King in recognition of his service to the Crown and to the nation in overseeing the Coronation of Their Majesties in 2023; 

and further expresses our encouragement and support to the Archbishop in his commitment to maintaining and deepening the unity of the Communion, often under tremendous pressure; 

and further applauds his efforts, especially in collaboration with His Holiness Pope Francis and others, to be a witness for peace in the Holy Land, Ukraine, the Sudan, and in other war-torn regions of the world, embodying thereby Our Lord’s message of reconciliation.
